Childbirth Education (CBE)

Group class: $275.00

Private, in-home CBE: $325 (1 session) / $475 (2 sessions

This is not a traditional CBE course. While we’ll certainly cover the fundamentals–the birth process and common medical interventions–we look at this as more of a conversation. It’s a conversation between and among you, the instructor, and your partner.

The goals of this class are unique. By the time you’ve gone through the course, you will:

  • Have a clear idea of the kind of birth you are hoping for
  • Be able to adapt to any situation that arises during the course of childbirth
  • Have developed communication skills that will equip you to
    • Talk to your care providers about what you are hoping for, and ask for information you might need to better understand their recommendations
    • Have clear, open communication with your partner

In addition, you will gain a basic understanding of the birth process and common medical interventions.

CBE is offered in both group and private class options. The group class is available monthly for one, 9-hour day.

Private classes take place in your home, and this customized approach also promises the utmost discretion. This offering is available in one or two visits.
